Regularly updating your Linux Virtual Machine (VM) operating system is essential for maintaining system security, operational stability, and optimal performance on virtualized infrastructure. Not updated operating systems leave your applications vulnerable to known exploits and performance degradation.
STACKIT Update Service provides an opportunity to automate the OS updates of your Linux VM.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”-
You have created a Linux Server VM.
Follow the steps described in the guide Create a new Linux instance, in case you need to create one. -
STACKIT Server Agent is installed and running on the VM.

STACKIT Update service is Enabled.
